A Strength-Based, Child-Centered Approach to Assess Prosecution Results

IJM believes that a successful child-protective prosecution meets two standards: the burden of proof, and the duty of care. The burden of proof protects the accused's right to be presumed innocent, while the duty of care is defined by law as the best interests of the child.
In Child-Protective Prosecutions, IJM contends that those who uphold these twin duties should be recognized for the roles they play in protecting children.
